Choosing the correct size for effective heel offloading
Correct sizing is an important part of effective heel offloading. A properly fitted heel protection device helps maintain heel suspension, redistribute pressure and support patient comfort.
The Maxxcare Heel Pro Evolution is available in three sizes: Small, Standard and Extra Large. Selecting the right size starts with one simple measurement.
How to measure
Use a soft measuring tape and measure from the front of the ankle, where the shin meets the foot, to the back of the heel, slightly underneath the heel. Follow the natural contour of the foot and heel while taking the measurement.
For the most accurate result, the patient should be lying in a supine or slightly flexed position.

- Small: less than 35 cm / 14 inches
- Standard: 35–43 cm / 14–17 inches
- Extra Large: 43 cm / 17 inches or more
When the measurement falls between two sizes, choose the larger size to support the best possible fit and offloading.
